Delete your Tatsulok account

Note: In case of any discrepancy between the English and translated versions, the English version shall prevail.
This page explains how to delete your Tatsulok account and the data in it. You can do it on the web without the Tatsulok app installed. Tatsulok is operated by Aquila Smart City Technologies, Inc.
1. How to delete your account
- On the web: sign in at tatsulok.com, open Settings, then Data & Privacy, choose Delete Account, and confirm. Open Data & Privacy (sign in first if you are not signed in).
- In the Tatsulok app: open the menu, tap your name at the bottom to open Account, tap Delete my account, and confirm with Schedule deletion.
- If you cannot sign in: email support@tatsulok.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We reply to that address and schedule the deletion once you confirm.
2. What happens next
Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days after you ask. We do not erase your account during those 30 days, and you can keep signing in and using Tatsulok. Items you moved to Trash are still emptied on their usual schedule. Signing in does not stop the deletion. To keep your account, go back to the same screen and choose Cancel Deletion on the web, or Keep my account in the app. After the 30 days, the deletion job runs once a day and handles a few accounts each run, so your deletion can finish some days later. Once it runs, it cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your data, export it first from Settings, then Data & Privacy.
3. When deletion waits
In these cases deletion does not fail. It waits, and it finishes once each one that applies to you is settled.
- A paid plan of your own. It renews as usual until your 30 days are up. Then, if nothing else on this list applies, we set it to cancel at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the plan until then and you are not charged again, and deletion goes ahead after that period runs out. If something else on this list also applies, the plan keeps renewing until the rest is settled, and then we cancel it the same way; cancel it yourself sooner if you do not want to pay while you wait. You can cancel your plan at any time from Settings, then Plan & Billing. If you cancel the deletion after your plan is set to end, the plan still ends unless you keep it, which you can do on the web right after cancelling the deletion or later in Plan & Billing.
- A shared plan (Team or Family). We do not cancel a plan other people use, so it keeps renewing until you cancel it on the web from Settings, then Teams. Deletion goes ahead after it ends. If you cannot cancel it yourself, write to support@tatsulok.com.
- A team workspace you own. Close it from its settings on the web first. If the workspace has a paid plan, cancel that plan first (we do not cancel it for you); the workspace can be closed once the paid period has ended.
- Things a person has to finish. Some data cannot be deleted automatically:
- anything you created in a team's library, such as files, folders, threads, drafts or apps, including what is in the team's Trash;
- records we must keep by law;
- content you published for other people to use;
- a very large account, with 10,000 or more of one kind of record, such as library items or saved document versions.
Write to support@tatsulok.com and we will finish it with you, keeping only what the law requires. You can settle some of these yourself: a team admin can delete your items from the team library and then from the team's Trash, and you can unpublish what you published.
4. What we delete
When deletion runs, we delete:
- Your account profile, and your sign-in record with our sign-in provider.
- Everything in your personal library, including items in Trash: files, folders, threads and their messages, drafts, notes, memory, and apps you made.
- The stored copies of your files, and the search index built from them.
- Accounts you connected, such as Google or WhatsApp, and what Tatsulok stored from them. We revoke our access before we delete the connection.
- Email drafts, API keys, contacts, tasks, and automations.
- Devices, browser extensions, and Office add-ins you linked to your account.
- Your usage history and credits, and our own copies of your subscription and payment records.
- Data exports we prepared for you and still store.
- Diagnostic records tied to your account, including feedback you sent us.
5. What we keep, and for how long
Some records are not yours alone, or we have to keep them:
- Work in someone else's space. Messages you posted in a thread that belongs to another person stay in that thread, and access you gave other people to items you do not own stays in place.
- Audit history. Records of what was shared and with whom, and of changes you made to other people's documents, are kept as audit history with no set end date. They point to an account that no longer exists.
- A team's billing records. They belong to the team and are kept with no set end date.
- Purchase records held by Paddle. Paddle.com Market Limited is our merchant of record. It keeps its own records of your purchases, such as invoices and tax records, under its own retention rules.
- Short-lived service logs. Our providers keep request metadata, with no content from your workspace, for a short time on their own schedule, for example up to 7 days at Cloudflare. The Privacy Policy lists each provider.
- Records the law requires us to keep, for as long as the law requires.
- Things outside Tatsulok. What you sent or stored through other services stays with them, such as email sent through Gmail, files in your Google Drive, or WhatsApp messages.
